Oxuma Klubu

Elmi Spektr (ES) oxuma klubu elmi mətnlərin (kitab, məqalə, və s.) müzakirə olunduğu məkandır. Reading Club

Elmi Spektr (ES) reading club is a space for discussion of scientific texts (books, articles, etc.). The club aims to bring people who are interested in different areas of science together in an online setting to create engaging and productive discussions. Meetings of the club are open to the public and held on online meeting platforms. Texts may cover any field of science, including natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.), social sciences (sociology, economics, gender studies, law, etc.), formal sciences (mathematics, computer science, etc.), applied sciences (medicine, engineering, architecture, etc.) and philosophy.

The news is full of hotly debated and divergent claims about the impacts and risks of climate change. How does it work?

For participants

1. Register for one of the upcoming meetings listed below.

2. Read the text that will be discussed, take notes, and write down questions you would like to raise during the discussion.

3. On the day of the meeting, enter the meeting room using the link that you have received, listen to the presentation, share your notes and questions, participate in the discussions.

For presenters

1. Fill out the form below to tell us about yourself, propose a text that you would like to discuss, and set a date for the meeting.

2. If you have not done so already, read the text you proposed, take notes, and prepare a presentation. In your presentation summarize and highlight the main ideas and results of the text.

3. On the date of the meeting, present the text (15-20 min) and moderate the discussion that follows.
